The field overlooking the Association Lezigno is transformed through a series of simple articulations of the subtle topography of the landscape. Standardized rectangular straw bales are arranged on the field in linear stacks registering 2 meter changes in elevation. The height of each stack increases with each successive elevation line starting from a .35m tall bench-height stack on the western end to a 2.1m tall perforated wall on the eastern end. The modular bales act as measuring devices that follow the contours of the land. A subtle addition to the Natalie Elemento sculptures during the daytime, the lines of straw transform into an illuminated geometric field at night to be experienced while zooming past on the highway.
